Age Limit of Applied Candidates For Territorial Indian Army Rally Vacancies
Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 42 Years
Eligibility Criteria of Territorial Indian Army Rally For Applied Candidates
This is the most critical part of your application.
Nationality: Citizen of India.
Age Limit: 18 to 42 years on the date of application. The upper age limit is higher than for the regular army because the TA caters to civilians who wish to serve part-time.
Educational Qualification:
For General Duty (GD): Class 10th (Matric) pass with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
For Technical / Tradesmen: ITI qualification in specific trades (as mentioned in the notification) or other relevant diplomas/degrees.
Physical Standards:
Height: Minimum 160 cm (relaxable for candidates from certain regions).
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Chest: Minimum 77 cm with an expansion of 5 cm.
Medical Standards: You must be medically fit as per Indian Army standards. This includes good vision (better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/9), no serious illnesses, and good physical and mental health.
Employment: You must be gainfully employed in a civilian job or self-employed. A certificate of employment from your employer will be required.
Selection Process
The selection is rigorous and involves multiple stages:
Shortlisting: Based on the initial application.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT): This includes:
1.6 Km Run: To be completed within a specified time (e.g., 5:30 minutes for Group I).
Beam (Pull-ups): Minimum 6 repetitions.
Medical Examination: A thorough medical check-up at a designated military hospital.
Written Examination: An objective-type paper to test general knowledge, reasoning, and elementary mathematics.
Interview: Final interview by a Board of Officers.
